The Louisville leaf tobacco sales for January to March 31, 1907 reached 50 329 hogsheads, down from 60 752 hogsheads a year earlier. Rejections were 6 324 hogsheads versus 6 939 last year. Burley accounted for 35 920 hogsheads and Dark for 14 709. Through March 31 1907 51 425 hogsheads of the 1906 crop had sold, compared with 60 816 of the 1905 crop by the same date last year. Total stocks stood at 24 445 hogsheads, up from 16 558 a year ago, with March stocks increasing by 1 262 hogsheads.
