Silsbee Man Arrested in Orange for Burglary Thefts
Billy Royce Williford, 37, of Silsbee, a fugitive from Louisiana Angola prison, was arrested in an Orange tavern on April 14 by police after being sought by St. Mary Parish authorities. He faced two burglary counts and theft with bond set at 30,000 before being returned to Louisiana.

Wrecks Reported In Silsbee April Crashes
A series of four-vehicle wrecks around Silsbee during mid-April caused damages totaling about 1300 dollars. Gary Strawther, 21, failed to control speed causing a rear impact to Tonya Gillies, two months old, who was treated and released. Edna Ross Bean and Pink Allen Hatcher collided at a red light, while Cleo Creamer’s truck was struck during a U-turn. Edna Bean and Pink Hatcher cited for failure to yield right of way. Imms and Eason also cited in separate incidents.
