Sikeston Defeats First Municipal Plant Bond Vote
This week marks thirty years since Sikeston voters rejected the initial plan to issue bonds for a municipal electric light and power plant. The era also recalls WWI service by Scott County residents and local social notes including marriages and engagements among area residents.
