Brother Dies In Doniphan Brother of Lilbourn man dies at home
Clint D Teeters died at his home in Doniphan around eleven o'clock Monday night. Funeral services were held in Doniphan on Thursday. A Christmas party by the Civic Improvement Club was well attended with carols, readings, and gifts. Two visitors from Barnes Hospital discussed nursing education and costs. Lilbourn Pantherettes lost a volleyball game 24 to 15 to Kewanee in Matthews Invitational. The high school band and chorus will present a Christmas program December 18 at the high school gym. Church attendance totals for Lilbourn Sunday School on Dec 8 were listed, with 352 present across congregations. Rev J E Stafford and family attended a fellowship meeting in Dyersburg, Tenn.

Four Divorces Granted By New Madrid Court
Four divorces were granted in a one day session of the New Madrid County Circuit Court during the September Term. Judge Fred L Henley discharged several persons from par roles and attended to other matters. Clerk Van H Sharp said the next session will be Monday December 16, with a civil suit set for trial by Friday December 20, designated as law day.
