Mrs. Ann Sizes notified Tuesday of the death of two relatives, Elmer Sitzes in St Louis Monday night. Funeral services at Grace Methodist Church St Louis at 10. Mr. Sitzes was nephew of Jake and Wade Sitzes and cousin of Dines Bess Sikeston. A grass fire was reported at 331 E Kathleen about 1 pm Tuesday. A special council meeting to consider bonds for a new power plant was canceled after the city attorney did not receive required information from bond attorneys. Mayor Butler said a new meeting will be called once data arrives.

The body is at Shelby Funeral Home with services Tuesday at 1 30 PM officiated by Rev Claude Taubbs. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery at Hardin.

Santa Claus to Visit Sikeston With Parade Friday
Santa will arrive Friday at 3 p.m. in Sikeston for the annual Christmas parade led by the high school band. He will greet children at J C Penney’s from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. and return Saturday, then again next week and on weekdays. Carrie Marshall Dies in Crowder After Illness
Carrie Marshall widow of Cyrus E. Marshall died at her Crowder home Sunday afternoon after a three year illness. She rested in state at Welsh Funeral Home until 3 pm Tuesday, with funeral at Assembly of God Church led by Rev. Wooten. Interment followed in City Cemetery. She was born November 8 1884 in Scott county, married October 5 1904, and survived by four sons Sterling Carl Price John and Wallace plus daughter Mrs Louise Lane, with five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
