West Nebraska M E Conference Holds Twenty-Second Session in Sidney
The West Nebraska Methodist Episcopal Conference meets in Sidney for its 22nd annual session. Bishops, pastors, and lay delegates discuss appointments, secretary and treasurer elections, standing committees, and district reports. The event includes temperance talks and a missionary society anniversary with lectures on Indian religious ideas.
Death of a Pioneer Citizen in Lodgepole
Harry Barrett father of County Clerk R E Barrett died at his Lodgepole home last Sunday morning. Born in Ireland in 1833 he came to America about 1860 and worked for Missouri Pacific and Union Pacific, serving as section foreman and later in charge near Lodgepole. Surviving are his widow and seven children. The body was buried in Sidney Catholic cemetery after funeral services by Rev Father Sullivan.

Jos Overfelder appointed by Gov Mickey to represent Nebraska at American Mining Congress in Denver October 16 to 19. Herman Bockstadter’s son born Friday night too late for paper. he weighed ten pounds.
