Soldier Charged In Car Accident At Sioux Ordnance Depot
Three soldiers from Sioux Ordnance Depot and three Sidney teenagers were involved in a crash near the 13th Avenue Union Pacific crossing. Cpl. Jack R. Christianson faced city court charges for driving while intoxicated and was fined $100 plus costs with a 30 day driving ban. The car occupants included Pvt. Robert E. Gardner Sgt. William L. Hicks and teens Madeline Lundberg 16 Rosemary Ogden 17 Carol Lamb 17. Police said all girls had cuts and that reckless driving by youths prompted a city crackdown on speeding and violatons. Christianson apparently lost control turning from Grant Street hitting high rails and wrecking the vehicle.

Cobbs Hurt in Wreck East of Lexington
Mr and Mrs S B Ty Cobb are treated at Lexington Community Hospital for injuries from a crash eight miles east of Lexington at 11 am Thursday. Mrs Cobb has a knee fracture and Mr Cobb chest injuries.
