New Bible Version to Be Released During Christian Education Week
The Revised Standard Version of the Bible will be presented to Sidney on Sept 30 during Christian Education Week orchestrated by the Sidney Ministerial Association. Five copies will be given to church supporters, and about 1,000,000 volumes will become available nationwide that day. The observance highlights Bible study, unity, translation honors, and the historical completion of translating the Bible into the people's language.

Polio Victim Buried Here in Tragic Week
Funeral rites for Mrs. Lyle Bergner 23 were held at St Patrick's Church with burial at Greenwood Cemetery. She died from bulbar polio after a four day illness at the Sioux Ordnance Depot. Polio Victims in Cheyenne County Reach Eight
