Livestock as Wheat Support in Nebraska Program
FM Bainer of the Nebraska Wheat Improvement Association urges farmers to include cows, hogs, and hens in wheat programs. He argues livestock provide steady income, convert waste into cash, and enable other crops to profit without reducing wheat yield. A diversified farm with feed crops and poultry can boost total income and cut living costs, even in poor weather.
