Fire breaks out at Sidney apartment house
Firefighters from the Sidney Volunteer Fire Department battled a stubborn blaze at 1424 12th Ave on Friday night. The second story wall access hampered efforts until Jerry Van Natter used a cherry picker to lift hoses above the roof. Smoke and extensive damage were reported. no injuries. An insurance adjuster will survey the loss Tuesday. state fire marshal officials investigated without releasing a public cause.
