Ogallala Firm Seeks SOD Bus Route Takeover
Wade's Bus Line of Ogallala owned by Lynn R Wade has applied to the State Railway Commission to operate the Sioux Ordnance Depot bus service between Sidney and the depot. Fox Theatre Opening Planned For October
The Fox Theatre is slated to be ready for a grand opening by mid October. Ray Davis district manager and Mel Glatz head of Fox Intermountain construction flew to Sidney for a progress check. State approves military representation at land lease sale
The Wyoming state board of educational lands and funds will ensure servicemen holding school land leases can be present at next week's auction. Driver Pinned In Gas Truck Crash Near Dalton
A gasoline transport driven by John Harryman 29 of Denver overturned near Dalton trapping him in the cab for about 30 minutes until he escaped by breaking a window. He suffered shock and a bruised leg. The load remained intact and the truck owned by R. B. Wilson sustained about 500 dollars in damage. Nearby accidents included an Andrews Transfer truck damaged east of Sunol. no injuries reported.

Band Chooses Officers for Sidney High School
Sidney High School Band Auxiliary welcomed new director Dean Killion at a Monday meeting and began plans to boost band interest. The main band has 42 pieces with six twirlers. ten more twirlers are being trained and will be announced soon. The marching band will perform at home games starting September 21 and at other events. He began as a section hand at Lodgepole at age 20, promoted to fireman in 1902, engineer in 1906, spent 20 years as freight engineer, 10 years on passenger trains, and in 1936 became streamliner engineer.

Burial services were held September 5 in the Lodgepole Cemetery for Mrs. Emma Wilson Moorhead 67 of 185 South Canosa Court Denver Colorado a former Lodgepole resident. She died August 31 in Denver General Hospital after a long illness. Born January 17 1884 in Overton Nebraska she married Claude D Moorhead in 1907 at Kearney. They later moved to Lodgepole then to Denver after his death in 1933. Survivors include Elmer Moorhead Los Angeles Ida M Frink Denver and Clair D Moorhead Rangely sister Mary D Wilson Lamont Wyoming and five grandchildren.
