From November 1944 to June this year nine thousand one hundred twenty six Nebraska employers including eight hundred fifteen farms gained approval for veterans on the job training. Two thousand five hundred twenty six cancellations left six thousand six hundred firms on the list. Reed noted a slow drawdown with only one hundred twenty one firms and thirty nine farms approved in the last month. Four universities thirteen four year colleges and five hundred four high schools were cleared to enroll veterans under the GI bill as the new state veterans affairs department took over supervision.
