Forty Men Given County Jobs in Cheyenne County
About thirty to forty men, mostly heads of families, were hired Wednesday morning for gravelling and bridge repair work by Cheyenne county. Former Sidney Man Poole Dies In Oregon at 55
Former Sidney resident Guy W. Poole died August 31 in Hillsboro Oregon. Born September 2 1878 in Illinois he moved to Cheyenne county in 1887 and later to Julesburg to enter lumber. He married Jennie Durkee January 2 1906 in Sidney four children survive with three brothers and four sisters.

Robbery Suspect Will Be Returned to State
Nebraska authorities asked that Arthur Brown a 39 year old California ex convict held for questioning in Denver in connection with a post office robbery and three safe crackings. Brown was arrested in Boulder and brought to Denver for questioning as a possible suspect in the robbery of three U.S. national bank messengers totaling 36000 dollars. A deputy state sheriff went to Denver to return Brown who is suspected of involvement in the Big Springs post office robbery on July 18 and a Lodge Polo robbery. He is alleged to have blown a safe and obtained 60 dollars in cash with many registered letters containing cash and 400 dollars in stamps. Three or four men in a car are said to have participated in these robberies.
