Golden P. Kratz of Sidney was unanimously elected commander of the Nebraska American Legion at the annual convention in Kearney. E H McCarthy withdrew, Harold Fee was elected delegate at large, and four alternate delegates were named for the national convention. Kratz, 41, an attorney and former county judge, has held multiple Legion posts and state committees. Grand Island hosts the 1934 convention. resolutions urged against centralization of veterans bureau activity and pledged allegiance to the president in seeking economic relief.
