Soo Depot Gets Funds for Maintenance Facility

Steam damages Hoover's Store in weekend incident
An outpouring of steam at E. L. Hoover store during Sunday and Monday damaged merchandise worth several hundred dollars. Steam melted ceiling paint and dripped on appliances and guns as plumbers converted heating from steam to natural gas leaving a two inch valve open. Roy Greenlee first noticed the damage Monday morning with water running from under the door. The store, closed since Labor Day, will stay shut until remodeling is finished and a possible sale of damaged items may follow once cleanup is complete.
