Sioux Ordnance Depot gets 1 085 000 for new ammo buildings

About 2 000 Nebraska old age assistance recipients who still faced unmet needs after receiving the $55 maximum will get larger checks next month. No Charges Planned In Death Of Child
County Attorney Jack Knicely said no charges are planned in the suffocation death of nine months old Cheryl Ann Jones found dead in a car after a collision east of town. State Safety Patrol reported the mother was driving the vehicle and Patrolman Don Born found the infant dead. A physician indicated the child apparently smothered about two hours before discovery.
