Olie Pearson Dead Longtime Sidney Cabinetmaker
Olie Pearson died at his south side home last Sunday after a prolonged illness with throat trouble. Born October 20, 1860 in Sweden, he came to Nebraska, then Sidney in 1885. He leaves a wife and nine children and was a noted cabinet maker. Funeral at Lutheran church conducted by Reverend L. Gunderman. Interment in Protestant cemetery east of town. Two daughters from Denver and Sterling attended.

Casper Girmann arrived Friday en route to Ogalalla to aid his brother Peter and nephew Ejdie who suffered serious injuries from a water tank collapse. The incident injured five others including a father struck on the shoulder and head, a lad with a crushed foot requiring amputation, A Fenstrom with a crushed hip and dislocated shoulder, and Francis who worked for Girmann facing possible leg loss. The tragedy followed the failure of a high cement wall supporting the water tank.
