Weapon Possession Charge Entered Against Jack Kirk
A 17 year old Tennessee hitchhiker Jack Kirk is charged with carrying concealed weapons in Cheyenne County. He admitted shooting Roy Oak a 48 year old science teacher and pleaded not guilty at arraignment. Kirk is held on a $500 bond after failing to post and is being restricted in county jail. Oak remains hospitalized recovering from a gunshot wound suffered a week earlier.

Tourist Robbed by Armed Men Near Sterling on Highway 138

CAP Conference Set for Des Moines Report

Lewellen Man Among 19 Lost in Guam C-124 Crash
Darrell Smith of Lewellen Nebraska is among nineteen on a United States Air Force C-124 Globemaster that ditched shortly after takeoff from Guam.
