Ceiling Is Asked On State Assistance
A proposed cap on aid to dependent children, urged by the advisory council of the state board of control, would set county participation at 25 percent of amounts above federal aid. The suggested ceiling would be 90 dollars for a mother and one child and 10 dollars for each additional child, lowering counties’ monthly share to about 14.75 dollars per case, though some counties already at maximum levy may struggle to meet even this.
