Reward Offered for Missing Rushville Girl Karen Talbot
The Sidney Police Department advertised a 1000 dollar reward for information leading to the safe return of 13 year old Karen Talbot of Rushville who vanished a week ago. She is 5 feet 4 inches, 120 pounds, wearing black slacks a green blouse and a white sweater with RHS Band in orange and black. She was last seen near the Rushville courthouse at 9 45 p m August 20 after leaving a movie with a friend. Relatives have posted 1600 dollar reward and authorities urge anyone seeing her to contact Sheriff Hills in Rushville Nebraska.

Man Hurt In Road Construction Accident East Of Lodgepole
Cecil O. Cone, 52, suffered a fractured left leg at 7:45 a.m. Thursday in a construction site mishap east of Lodgepole. Cone rode on a machine spreading hot mix when a passing truck struck him, and trailer wheels ran over his leg. He was taken to Sidney Hospital. The Nebraska State Safety Patrol investigated. A second minor downtown Lodgepole crash involved Lyle Westerbeck driving a pickup for Kiewit Sons.

Mr and Mrs Albert Jelinek, seriously injured in an automobile accident a month ago, were released from a local hospital Sunday and are convalescing at their daughter’s home Mrs Lewis Johnson. Mrs Jelinek remains bedfast with hip injuries and hopes for recovery soon. Mrs Mary Christensen, Mrs Jelinek’s sister who was with them, is still hospitalized in Sioux City.

Two Wrecks Happen Near Sidney Nebraska
In Sidney two separate crashes are reported. A 1953 Studebaker driven by Mrs. Peter Erikson of Palo Alto Calif. rolled over after high beam use near Lodgepole injuring Mrs. Erika son and Mrs. Loretta McCarthy. Damages include $400 to the Erikson car and $15 to Ernest Wickard’s fence. A second collision east of town involved Caroll Wages and Gene Cole on US 30, causing minor damage and a ditch entry but no injuries.

Oil Worker Injured in Rig Accident Near Browns
Philip Adkinson, an oil worker for Delaware Drillers Inc., suffered a compound fracture of the left leg just above the ankle on a rig three miles south of Browns. He was taken to Taylor Hospital by ambulance on Sunday afternoon after a pipe mishap during the joint-pull operation left him with the injury.
