Accident Injures Two In Lodgepole Crash
James Resor, 26, of Chappell is in serious condition at Sidney Hospital after a car overturned and threw him about 30 feet near Lodgepole at 12 20 Wednesday morning. He remained unconscious until Thursday. another occupant, a 25 year old passenger named Billy Aud, suffered lacerations and was treated and released. The 1950 Ford sustained about 450 dollars in damage. the investigation cites pavement edge and vehicle veering incidents.

A telephoned report from daughter Mrs. Dean Wolstenholm of Anchorage Alaska says ten year old Jean Marie Johnson has bulbar polio. Her condition was serious in the latest update. Jean Marie lived with her grandparents here until joining Sfc Wolstenholm in Alaska fourteen months ago. They were to return to the States in February. While in town Mrs Wolstenholm worked at the J M McDonald Store.

Auto Truck Crash Injures One Woman
One woman suffered severe bruising when a passenger car struck the front end of an eastbound truck on U S 30 west of Potter Sunday. The car driver John Nunchuck, 41, Chicago, misread a turn and collided with the truck driven by Edward Goodijohn, 21, USAF. The truck was leased from D B Kiite of Fergus Falls Minn. The 1949 Cadillac sustained about 1500 dollars in damage.

James Bishop Jr. deserting from Rapid City Air Base on June 2 was found with another man near Lodgepole by Deputy Sheriff Arnold Bransch. Bishop planned to quit the road crew Tuesday night and is held pending the provost marshal’s arrival.
