Funeral services were held in Bridgeport for Ray mond C. Neumann aged 84 who died Monday. He was a brother of Hank Neumann of Lodgepole and longtime Bridgeport businessman. Arthur H. Smith 47 of Moses Lake Washington and formerly Alliance died when a sugar beet train struck his stalled fertilizer truck at a private farm road crossing near Moses Lake. Kimball County Man Is Lone Polio Case
A 21 year old Kimball County man who had never been vaccinated with Salk vaccine was the lone polio case reported this past week by the State Health Department in Lincoln Nebraska. He had the non paralytic type and the total for the year rose to 129 cases compared with 29 at the same time last year. The health department suggested the state may be past the polio peak season.
