Parking meters issue stirs Sidney debate and surveys
The Cheyenne County Farm Bureau asks to remove Sidney parking meters at its annual meeting while city officials hesitate. A Chamber of Commerce survey from the early 1970s favored keeping meters, and Councilman Ed Bauman calls for a new survey before any decision. The city notes meter revenue funds the meter maid and replacements, and downtown free parking will run December 13 to December 2 to test all day parking.
