Sixth District Teachers convention runs Wednesday through Friday with events at Senior High and City Auditorium. Registration at Senior High 3:30 pm Wednesday. opening session 8 pm at High School Auditorium with Dr Sundar Josh. Free Fox Theatre picture show at 11:30 pm. Thursday features sessions at City Auditorium with principal address by Earle Wiltse and main address by D A Worcester. Evening events include a courtesy program by the Sidney chamber and a Nat Towles band dance. Friday offers more sessions and a tour of the Sioux Ordnance Depot chaired by Col Richard J Sothern. An art exhibit is open all day Thursday in the Senior High library.

Victor Johnson 55 a Banner County native and son of Mrs C W Johnson and the late Senator Johnson of Potter died Saturday at Scottsbluff hospital after an operation ten days earlier. Funeral Wednesday at Potter Methodist Church, with burial in Potter. He leaves wife Mildred four sons one daughter mother and several siblings. He was a farmer and a member of the Masonic Lodge and Methodist church.

M. W. Osborn Hurt When Hit By Auto
M W Osborn suffered a broken leg when struck by a car at Baggs Wyoming Friday evening. The accident occurred about six o clock as he was removing his bags from his car and preparing to stay the night. The driver was blinded by snow and turned the car, knocking him down. He was taken to Rawlins by ambulance. Osborn and his brother Leo E were with Sidney men returning from a hunting trip. Leo stayed in Rawlins until Sunday evening. The leg was broken about six inches above the knee and cannot be set until swelling subsides and bones are straightened. After setting he will be brought to Sidney.

Drunken Driving Charge After City Crash
Police Chief Harvey Vizina said Monday that he would bring Thomas B. Taylor to city court for drunken driving.
