Cheyenne County Sunday School Convention at Center
The Cheyenne county Sunday school association met at the M. E. church in Center last Sunday after rain delayed opening. Otto Perso spoke on weekday duties of a superintendent, Laura Irving discussed teacher preparation, Lena Ottenman on food for beginners, and Prof. H. M. Steidley spoke on a place for this boy. Officers elected: President Rev. Zimmerman, Bridgeport. Vice President Otto Person, Center. Secretary Julia Ahrens, Sidney. next convention in Bridgeport. Dinner for all was provided by Center ladies.

Surprise Birthday for Master Russell Dedrick by Young Friends
A group of about twenty eight young associates surprised Master Russell Dedrick on his thirteenth birthday, October 17, at the Fishman store. They enjoyed music and games, and received many presents. Mrs. Dedrick hosted refreshments in a spacious dining room, and the attendees praised the evening and wished many more birthdays.
