F W Vath Dies In Rochester Hospital

Word came from L W Vath to his aunt Mrs F W Vath to come to Rochester Minnesota to the bedside of her husband. Mrs Vath and her three young sons traveled to Rochester and he died Tuesday forenoon at eleven o clock. Remains arrived in Sidney with family. Funeral to be held today under Reverend Lardman. Community shocked by Mr Vath’s death after years in the area.

Senator Gilbert M. Hitchcock and his party arrived by automobile Tuesday, greeted by prominent Democrats. An evening crowd gathered at the courthouse for a Democratic speech by Hitchcock, followed by McDermott, congressional candidate against Moses P. Kincaid. The visiting party included Gaddis, Smith, and Hedmer. Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Dewey and their baby traveled from Oshkosh for a weekend visit, with Mrs. Dewey remaining another week with Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Walker.
