Some Hunters Going East To Shoot Early
A group of western Nebraska hunters heads east today for the pheasant season opening tomorrow. West of the state, hunting starts Oct 26. The largest pheasant concentrations are in Custer Sherman and Cedar counties, where farmers ask the game commission to invite hunters to help with crop losses. The Panhandle reports a strong pheasant hatch per Dr C H Silvernail of Bridgeport. Last year the hatch was small and shooting poor.
