Fred Krause of Sioux City Iowa formerly with the John Deere Plow company in Sidney received a crushed chest and four broken ribs when a tractor he was demonstrating to a farmer ran over him after he threw in the clutch. His condition worsened due to pneumonia but improved after being placed under an oxygen tent. the accident happened October 5 when he believed the tractor was not in gear.

Joseph Gehrig 74 father of W. E. Gehrig of Sidney died at his Brush Colorado home last Saturday after a long illness of stomach ailment and stroke. A Mor gan county resident over 50 years he was known as a stock grower who came west to homestead at Akron. Funeral services were held in Brush and survivors include his wife and three sons John and Joseph of Brush William of Sidney. another son died five years ago.
