Sidney police reported a busy month in September led by newly appointed Chief Roy Bauer. The force logged 1,039 calls at the station and 757 by radio, covered 9,215 miles by car, and logged 136 hours of foot patrol. Traffic violations included 4 speeding, 6 reckless driving, 2 signal violations, 9 parking violations, 601 overtime parking, 31 accidents, 4 personal injuries, 8 intoxication incidents, 6 disorderly conduct, 1 vagrancy, 3 driving while intoxicated, 4 other offenses, 16 investigations, and 1 breaking and entering.
