Also due are 2 270.38 from First National Bank of Sidney and 7 004 from the state for work on a federal aid road. Taxes on county banks total 7 155. banks seek one quarter valuation but federal ruling requires full payment.

The First National Bank of Sidney will pay a final dividend of 25 and one quarter percent to depositors within a month. One of Cheyenne County's largest real estate exchanges closed Wednesday as J C Dunn sold his three section farm six miles west of Dalton to Jacob Volkert of Sidney. The deal includes a quarter section of well improved land as part payment plus cash for the remainder. The Volkert family may have his son farm the land. the Dunns plan a major sale after year’s start and will move east.

Sheriff McDaniel advised, area reports suggest a growing pattern of nearby bank robberies.
