Fire damages home near Sidney after noon blaze
A fire damaged the home of Mr and Mrs Harvey Trussel on the west interchange road near Sidney. Trussel, who had a heart attack last year, reported smoke and heat upon opening the back door and called the Sidney Fire Department. Fourteen firefighters and four trucks fought the blaze. cause under investigation. The house is owned by Carl Olson.

A string of cold nights and unsettled skies brought rain and hail to several towns. Sidney recorded traces of precipitation with highs in the 70s Friday and 56 Saturday, while Dalton saw 0.25 inch total and frost Sunday morning. Potter and Lodgepole reported hail and rain as temperatures dipped into the 30s. The US Weather Service forecast calls for partly cloudy, windy conditions with cooler highs in the mid 60s to 70s, and chances of showers Thursday and Friday.

Housing Authority Approves HUD Rental Assistance Contract
