Max Goeman Freed At Hearing Tuesday
County Judge Robert A Barlow freed Max Goeman of Dalton after a preliminary hearing on a charge of obtaining money under false pretenses. The case arose from an Olson Goeman cattle deal. Olson claimed $408, but Goeman said the deal fell through and he kept the funds to settle debts. Youth Injured As He Walks Across Street
Delmar Rahe son of Mr and Mrs Otto Rahe of the Weyerts district walked into the side of a tourist s car as it sped through Lodge Pole last Friday morning and was badly injured. He suffered a compound fracture of the left leg a scalp wound needing two stitches and body bruises. He was taken to a Chappell hospital after treatment by Dr Robertson at Lodge Pole.

The first horse and mule auction of the season will be held at the Platte Valley Livestock and Commission Company pavilion in Scotts Bluff on Wednesday October 6 starting at one o'clock. D J Roach Scottsbluff district manager for Great Western Sugar told North Platte valley chambers of commerce that beet sugar growers in Nebraska and Wheatland Wyoming districts should realize seven to eight dollars per ton over the next four years. He said passage of the sugar bill should bring stability the industry has not seen in years. He estimated a contract price about five dollars and seventy-one cents per ton of beets if sugar sells for four dollars per one hundred pound bag, with government payments added.

Golden Anniversary for Mons Johnsons at Sunol
Cheyenne county residents Mr and Mrs Mons Johnson observed their golden wedding anniversary with a quiet family gathering at their home north of Sunol. They were married at Mrs Johnson's mother’s home and have lived on the farm since. Their granddaughter Arlene Johnson celebrated her birthday, born on the couple’s anniversary fourteen years ago.
