Lodge Pole Officials End Speed Drive On Guidance
Lodge Pole village board halted its speed trap drive after protests from the attorney general and county attorney. Governor and state officials questioned alleged unfair arrests of tourists at Colton Nebraska, a town on highway 30 west of Sidney, with no local police authority. Heaton noted Colton lacked an authorized police judge and the drive there never existed.
