At Hemingford a meeting debated coyote control with sportsmen and a biologist opposing poisoning. A plan was adopted to form a Box Butte coyote control board funded by 20c per head on breeding sheep, aiming for $1,500, with Harold Tinsley as president Otto Uhrig vice president and Don Hansen secretary treasurer.

Oshkosh electronics plant nears first production

Midwec Corporation Oshkosh moves toward initial small scale output with pilot plant planned before Christmas. State Death-Free In Nebraska After Holiday Weekend

Nebraska reportedly remains death free after the Thanksgiving holiday period if no traffic deaths occur from weekend injuries. In Sidney area a Gurley man Ernest I Deaver 25 sideswiped guard rails on an overpass east of Sidney causing $330 vehicle damage and $20 rail damage. No injuries were reported and statewide toll stood at 319, up from 305 a year ago.
