Shorthorns Bring Good Prices at First Dorman Sale
The Dor man idiewild Shorthorn Ranch held its first production sale on November 19. Forty two lots grossed $13,170 led by Idiewild Prince Bob 2nd at $720 sold to Raymond Strey and Kenneth Yorges and Sons. Other top buyers included Owen G. Van Natta and Glen Frieden. Eight bulls averaged $363 and 34 females averaged $302. The Dormans plan to build a premier Shorthorn herd and use proceeds to fund future sales.

Born Deshler Nebraska May 3 1904 he moved to Gurley in 1918 and farmed nearby. Survived by wife Hildawert two children Milton Henry Judy Ann one brother William of Sidney and three sisters Frieda Kieselhorst Elle Christensen and Ann Schumacher.
