Mrs. Ray Arnell 43 died after a car stall on a remote Potter county road and exposure. The service at Dalton Presbyterian Church was led by Rev. Donald Daly with burial in Dalton cemetery under Gehrig Funeral Home. Sheriff said no foul play. Arnell born August 18, 1904 in Potter. survived by husband, father, three brothers Elmer, Albert, Roy. five sisters Mary Johnson, Pearl Sanders, Helen Mayer, Rose Miller, Lillie Starner. mother preceding.

Stolen 1937 Plymouth Found in Rockport Colorado
Milton Lopez owned the 1937 Plymouth stolen last Monday from an LOD parking lot. The vehicle was found abandoned in Rockport, Colorado the next day by Cheyenne County Sheriff W. W. Schulz. No leads into the thief or thieves have been obtained.

VFW Head To Speak Ben L Carter Died Nov 24
Ben L. Carter 72 a longtime Dalton resident died last Wednesday in Liberal Kansas after being stricken en route to Texas. Funeral services were held at Delton Presbyterian Church with burial in Dalton Cemetery. Born February 19 1876 in Madison County Iowa he married Elizabeth Ann Mayer in 1899. He farmed near Dalton and ran a Redington area ranch before retiring. Survived by wife daughter Lillian Vogler and brothers Elton Carter and Clyde Carter.

Former Sidney Resident Dies in California
Mrs. Henry Whitney, a former Sidney resident, died at Huntington Park California on Monday November 22. Survivors include two sons Dr. Dale Whitney of Huntington Park and Glenn Whitney of California and a daughter Mrs. Ted Bechtel of Washington DC. Mr. Whitney died about two years ago.

In Cheyenne County the Dalton Gurley area enjoys electricity from a 150 mile REA line extension. About 140 customers have been connected, bringing bright farmyard lights along Highway 19 between Dalton and Sidney. The Wheat Belt Electric cooperative plans more southward lines while crews toil seven days a week despite snow and cold.
