Snow and icy roads caused slow travel but no major incidents, while heavier snow and fatalities occurred in Colorado as the storm pushed south toward Oklahoma. Telegraph Sub Rate Jump Takes Effect January First

Lewellen Man in Two Vehicle Collision Escapes Injury
A 70 year old Lewellen man escaped injury when two cars collided at an intersection five miles east of Lewellen on a county road. William T. Leeper and Genevieve L. Scripter, both Lewellen residents, reported about 500 and 200 dollars in damage respectively. A separate wreck near Marrll involved Walter Schlede witz of Bayard whose pickup suffered about 200 dollars in damage after a tire blew and overturned.
