Brake failure blamed for Sidney three car crash
A three car collision in Sidney at 3 45 p m Wednesday was blamed on brake failure in one car. Judith Banks 16 drove north on 11th approaching from the rear as two cars stopped for a red light at 11th and Illinois. Banks said she applied brakes but they failed. Her car struck Diana Zwicki 17 which struck Catherine Andrejewski 17.

Clerk Edward Doty described a white man about 5 11 and 160 pounds who struck him and fled with about $200 after requesting beer. The weapon, a broken fishing-pole handle, was left at the scene.
