Blood Train To Stop Here December 14
The Blood for Freedom train will stop in Sidney and Scottsbluff, Nebraska, on Friday December 14 to collect at least 120 pints of whole blood for injured servicemen. Dalton voters approved a 204 575 bond for a modern addition and renovations at Dalton Consolidated School by 212 to 70. The plan includes a gymnasium auditorium and new agriculture and home economics facilities costing 172 000 with 32 575 for remodeling. Architects Maginnis and Schaumberg of Lincoln. Accidents Hurt Two This Week
A Chicago salesman, Alfred Yohe, 47, was hurt Tuesday on Highway 30 near Sidney in a one car crash likely caused by fatigue. He suffered a compound leg fracture and facial injuries. reported in fair condition but not fully conscious. A two and a half year old boy, Bobby Moul, suffered a leg fracture and facial injuries after being struck near the Porter station by a Dodge driven by Margaret Hoskins. the driver did not see him while parking. A 400 pound Black Angus heifer was killed and a Kimball car damaged on Highway 30 near Sunol when a 1950 Chevy struck the animal after lights were dimmed for an approaching vehicle. Damage to the car estimated at $600. owner of the heifer not known.
