Pig Club Grows By Thirty Members

Saturday last the Sidney State Bank received thirty more registered sow pigs distributed to as many boys through N Medlock, Chairman of the Pig Club. Membership rises to ninety one making it the largest club in the United States and the clamor among the boys grows for the thoroughbred program.

Deaths S. P. Jones

Sam P. Jones born October 13 1861 in Pennsylvania came to Eagle precinct Cheyenne county in 1886 and built a 1304 acre ranch. He died November 19 1917 at the ranch after pneumonia. Funeral held at Sidney with large attendance. Interment Greenlawn Cemetery. Survived by wife Mary Evang and several children and grandchildren.
