The 50th anniversary of Christ Episcopal church in Sidney will be celebrated with services led by Bishop George Allen Beecher and F. Fey. P. E. Spehr. George Price Clayton, 82, who served as postmaster in Sidney in 1881, died at his Glenrock Wyoming home. He had briefly lived in Sidney, drove a cattle herd to Wyoming, first came to Sidney in 1880, then went to Wyoming and returned for several months. He was renowned for frontier writings published in newspapers and magazines.

Lopez To Prison For Burglary Case In Kimball County
District Judge J. L. Tewell sen tenced Raymond Lopez to months in the Nebraska penitentiary for breaking and entering an automobile in Kimball county. Farm Income Up Sharply In September Report
Farmers earned about 754 million dollars from sale of farm products in September, up 16 percent from a year earlier, with all regions gaining. Livestock receipts rose 18 percent nationally, while crop sales increased in all regions except the west north central. Government payments fell to about 6 million from 57 million in September 1935, but higher product income more than offset this. Total cash receipts including government payments were higher than last September in every region.

Raymond Francis Hoven two year old son of Mrs Frances Hoven died at home after a two week pneumonia illness. Born in Sidney he will be laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery after eight o'clock mass at the local Catholic church with Rev Anton Link officiating. Survived by mother and brothers Clare and James.

The board of education rejected all bids to tear down and salvage the old Central school building after a recent meeting. Kenneth Agnew, secretary, said the board postponed letting to seek better offers. The native stone and wood structure, partly built in 1908, was condemned as a fire trap years ago and has remained idle.

Funeral Services Held For Two Well Known Residents
Funeral services were held from the Methodist church for Charles P. Chambers 78 a Sidney pioneer and longtime community leader. He died Saturday in a local hospital with burial rites by the Odd Fellows and Episcopal church officiant. Also funeral services for Mrs Bertha Liggett 48 wife of Roy Liggett were held from the Methodist church with interment in Greenwood cemetery. Both services featured local clergy and longtime friends as pallbearers.
