Germany Crisis Deepens as Bavarians March on Berlin
Edward W. Pickard reports a turbulent German scene with monarchists and republicans clashing amid Bavarian forces marching on Berlin. Reichswehr support is uncertain, Stresemann proclaims resistance, and Paris and Washington weigh responses to reparations and allied control while Italia and Britain react to postwar tensions. Wheat as a Feed Offers Mixed Gains for Hog Diets
Government data show high grade wheat and corn have similar feeding value when ground, with wheat costing about a dollar per bushel at a corn price around 93 cents. Grinding costs 5 to 10 cents per bushel, so a balanced ration including ground wheat along with oats or barley can boost hog gains, though whole wheat is not economical.

Heming Ford Bank Closed by Federal Examiner
The First National Bank of Hemingford failed to open last Monday as the federal examiner took charge pending a receiver. With 45000 capital and surplus and 204000 in deposits, loans and other assets totaled about 275000. Depositors may recover 60 to 80 cents on the dollar if affairs are properly handled. president James Potsmesil, vice president J P Penson, and cashier C F Walls headed the institution. High interest paid for eastern money contributed to the crash, including 100000 at 7 percent loaned out slowly. Directors ended efforts to salvage the bank and allowed the examiner to close it.
