Broadwater Man Dies in Hunting Trip Accident
Jacob G. Comstock, a widely known Broadwater area resident of 36, died from a accidental gun discharge while hunting 12 miles north of Dalton on October 31. His body was found November 3 near the Dalton highway with the gun on the truck front, load entering his side. Funeral services were held November 5 at Bridgeport.

Morrill Resident Dies After Duck Bone Snafu in Denver
William C. Hanson, Morrill resident, died at St Luke Hospital in Denver less than an hour after arrival for removal of a splintered duck bone stuck in his throat. The 36 year old perished from esophageal perforation and neck infection. Funeral services were held Sunday. He is survived by his wife, his parents Mr and Mrs J N Hudson, two brothers Ernest and Wheeler, and a sister Mrs J N Shaver, all of Morrill or nearby.

Aliens Fined in Morrill County for Possession of Firearms
In Morrill county court Judge Mar is fined Martin Filbert and Conrad Maul $50 and costs each for illegal possession of firearms. Both men are aliens and the law prohibits aliens from owning or having firearms. They had been using the guns on their places before information was filed. This marks the first in a series of prosecutions of foreigners for possession of firearms in Morrill county.

Sidney’s steady offense and stout defense sealed the win as Kimball fought hard but could not answer.

Thomas Montgomery a pioneer resident of Morrill county died November 4 at the home of Mr and Mrs Walter Clark in Bridgeport where he had lived the past year after an illness of several years most recently bedbound for three years He came to Morrill county long ago homesteaded near Broadwater lived there many years before moving to Bridgeport to run a mercantile business later closing the store selling his farm and working as a laborer until retirement due to ill health.

Boy Hiker Crippled by Falling Under Train
Richard Kopp a 17 year old from Hanover Pennsylvania was attempting to board a U P train at Julesburg when he fell beneath the wheels. His left leg and foot were mangled and may require amputation.
