Two Auto Accidents At Ice Covered Corner Reported
Slippery streets on Illinois Street at 10th Avenue led to two crashes Tuesday afternoon. In the first, John W Sample in a Chevrolet pickup was struck by an Oldsmobile driven by Hugh R Williams of Peetz after the Chevy stopped at a Stop sign. At 4 45 pm, an Oldsmobile driven by Lewis Schneider and a Ford driven by Delbert W Rogers collided when brakes failed on the slick pavement.
