Women Students Rise at UNL College of Agriculture

Enrollment at the University of Nebraska Lincoln College of Agriculture has doubled in ten years reaching 1,422 students this year. Women make up 144 of them, the largest female cohort in NU history, with 424 freshmen and a record sophomore class. Dr. T E Hartung notes strong demand for ag courses amid a short supply of vocational ag teachers, while drought and market conditions affect junior year attrition.
