The British American Oil Producing Co reports a wildcat producer at Koenig-Ashby No 1 on its center block twelve miles northwest of Sterling. The one hour twelve minute test on the J sand suggests strong potential with open hole completion planned. The nearest producing well is Shell Oil Co to the east, five miles away. BA had prior gas and oil wells on the Walker block in Logan County, but Rieke No 1 was abandoned as a dry hole last week, six miles north of Koenig-Ashby.
