City seeks new foundation for 1600 HP engine at Sidney plant
The City requests replacement of the cracked concrete foundation beneath the 1600 horsepower Fairbanks Morse engine at the Sidney power plant. The R W Hughes Construction Co of Omaha installed it in July 1947 and a new foundation is demanded before bond protection ends in July. The engine is shut down to prevent internal damage and will be needed by August, with the plant expanding its capacity since an additional power unit was added.

RY To Honor Two Persons Dinner in Sidney April 13
