Judge Grimes re-elected by a larger margin with an increased vote. A. K. Greenlee secures treasurer post. Sidney merchant wins by a near 350 vote majority. Barrett takes clerkship by strong margin and Lee wins sheriff race. unclear figures 324 84 346 153 appear as partial tallies.
The county voters backed Republican candidates in a quiet election, electing all but the county judge and assessor. A. K. Greenlee, recovering from typhoid fever, was praised as a qualified treasurer despite not canvassing in person. Robert E. Barrett won the county clerk race with strong support, described as a Cheyenne County native with high character and integrity, promising faithful stewardship and taxpayer interests.
The Telegraph notes J W Lee wins sheriff race in a three cornered contest praising his energy and impartiality. It also highlights Mrs Francis Knox county superintendent elect and re elected officials Mayor Willis county surveyor James Tucker coroner Chas M Hadley county assessor and Robert Emanuel gon county commissioner with strong majorities and countywide support for retrenchment and good governance.

Miss Chase and Mrs Danforth hosted High School students and teachers for a Halloween gathering last Saturday.
