County Republicans Elect Most Officials. Greenlee Favored Despite Illness

The county voters backed Republican candidates in a quiet election, electing all but the county judge and assessor. A. K. Greenlee, recovering from typhoid fever, was praised as a qualified treasurer despite not canvassing in person. Robert E. Barrett won the county clerk race with strong support, described as a Cheyenne County native with high character and integrity, promising faithful stewardship and taxpayer interests.

Halloween Party At Chase Danforth Home Ends In Revelry

Miss Chase and Mrs Danforth hosted High School students and teachers for a Halloween gathering last Saturday. A mysterious Italian daughter impressed guests with revelations before a bean prize and village revels, then a host of visits to local homes ended with dancing, refreshments, and a toast to next year. John Barnhart traveled from North Platte to vote at his North River homestead.
