NRD Advises on Water Policy At October NRD Meeting

South Platte Natural Resources District board heard Land and Water Resources Committee comments on the July 15 Federal Register Water Resource Policy Papers. They urged less emphasis on environmental values and opposed federal control of state water rights, while supporting more conservation funding. The board took no action on a cost share amendment to the Federal Water Pollution Control Act or on a state funded NRD conservation program.
