Bridge Opens Oshkosh North Platte River Route
A new 419 foot long prestressed concrete girder bridge with a 40 foot roadway opens over the North Platte River in Oshkosh. It replaces a 1924 era 16 foot wide truss bridge and ends by pass isolation for residents south of town. Western Plains Construction built the $300000 project starting May 4, with approach grading surfacing and guard rails included.

Bridgeport approved a $450,000 bond to build a new hospital after the current facility failed to meet accreditation standards. Strong local campaigns supported both measures.
